Monster in the Closet

Only Abigail is not the monster. Her role is Mary - the girly girl. The green on her face is her avocado mask since all beautiful girls need to take care of their skin even during a sleepover. Last night was dress rehearsal and the show was great. Abigail was so funny and really got into her role; how did I get such a talented daughter?
If you peek at the yellow monster in the background, you'll see the type of sewing I did for this show. I didn't put on the accessories (like the eyes) but I did sew together the three main pieces of fur together as well as adding velcro to the necks of a number of monster heads.

Dear Renee,
Thanks for alerting me to this blog entry. I know Abigail is good at and enjoying her theatre productions, but I'm especially proud of YOU and your sewing. Ah, who could have known all those 15+ years ago when we made a pair of short for little Madeleine that you would be sewing fuzzy costumes! Way to go!
