Another book read
Recently I read a blog entry where the author said she wasn't so good at describing a book but she knew for certain when she liked a book. I think that blogger was in my mind. I am no longer in the academic mode of being able to write a good description of a book but I know when I like it and I really really liked The Atonement Child. This is the second book I've read by Francine Rivers and I will continue looking to read more of her works.
From the cover: In one horrific, terrifying moment, Dynah Careys perfect life is shattered by rape, her future irrevocably altered by an unwanted pregnancy, her doting family torn apart. Her seemingly rock-solid faith is pushed to the limits as she faces the most momentous choice of her lifeto embrace or to end the untimely life within her.

That book was awesome. I've really enjoyed everything that I've read by her.
Cindy said that y'all have been in contact. I hope I get to meet you in the Fall.
Hey Renee it's Christy, I read this book a while back and it was such a good read. I really, really like Francine Rivers, she's quickly become one of my favorite authors.
bookmooch??
Tee hee... I purposely didn't put it on there yet thinking you might like to read it. Go ahead and mooch some other book... as soon as I get Molokai back from my neighbor, I"ll send both your way.
Thanks! (its nice to have friends).
I'll have to see about reading a few more of hers.
You MUST read the Mark of the Lion series and be SURE you have the 2nd book in hand before you get close to finishing the first one and do NOT read ahead to see why... you'll be glad you read it in orer and didn't jump ahead to see what happens.. .AND you'll be REALLY glad you have the 2nd book as soon as you finish the last chapter of the first book. And, that's all I can say (LOL).
BTW, this is the series I ended up purchasing for my mil.
