On Sunday we went to Chambord. It's located in a national forest (although you certainly can't tell that from these pics). It was beautiful and a great way to spend the day.
I took a pic because I liked this spiral staircase.

Absolutely stunning! Those tree's look like the same ones we have here at one of our castles, it's just off post, they are really freaky looking in winter.
BTW I knew you guys were in France when we went down to Garmisch and it was literally a two day warning that we had that we got on for the retreat to even get to go!
