I didn't love this book even though I love JPII. At times the language was overly flowery and then it would seem stilted. After looking carefully at the copyright page, I realized it was an English translation of a French book.
In addition, I didn't feel the book reflected the title "an intimate life". Much of the book was history or the same tidbit of info in multiple locations. Did you know JPII had AB- blood? Well I do now, since I was told that two if not three times.
