Our Neighbor Wayne

Have I ever mentioned that I love our new neighborhood? Well, I do and Wayne is one of the great people here - he lives just two doors away. Wayne is recently retired and his wife is just a few years away from joining him. His son, dil and two grandchildren live right around the corner but Wayne is grandpa to all the kids in the neighborhood. He takes them to feed the fish, he finds great toy bargains at the thrift shop and share with them and he's just a nice guy. I had mentioned at a women's gathering that I was having difficulty getting in touch with the cabinet folks to get a shelf for our kitchen island. Well Connie mentioned it to her husband and next thing I know Wayne is measuring my island... and today he brought me a beautiful shelf. It's great to have someone handy, helpful and friendly in the neighborhood. I am thankful that God lead us to this great place in sweet home Alabama.

Ah.. That's SO SWEET! It would be nice if everyone had a neighbor like that.

You are really lucky Renee. We have been in this house for 9 years and though we have tried, our neighbors are very unfriendly.

We really are lucky. We know more of our neighbors here in less than 4 months than we did two years in FL.

Ah, it's nice to know the people are friendly even if the wildlife is out to get you! {vbg}
