Scholarship Letter

We are VERY VERY excited in our house today. Madeleine has been awarded the Centennial Scholarship to Mississippi University for Women - the scholarship covers 4 years of tuition, 4 years of out-of-state fees, 4 years of room/board, $600 a year toward books and $5K toward a month long study abroad program in the summer of 2011. Woo hoo!!!!!

This is how she looked after opening and dropping the letter on the floor because she was so stunned to see the word "Centennial".

Does dropping it on the floor mean she doesn't want it?

ROFL........she wants it. She was just SOOOOO excited to see the word Centennial that she dropped the letter. Then she picked it up to read the details and be sure she wasn't seeing things

Congratulations! How wonderful! Was this her first choice school?

Inititally it wasn't. She dreamed of going to a Catholic college but also applied to MUW (on the advice of my friend Ruth) and Montevallo (in AL).
But after visiting the W, it quickly moved to the top and this scholarship has moved it up even higher now.

De'Etta,
Mike now needs an assignment to Columbus AFB so Madeleine has an "adopted" family in town... (tee hee, I'm trying to convince all my AF friends to get assigned there)
