Tonight our homeschool had their annual gathering to recognize those that have received sacraments, graduated and received other special awards. All three of my daughters were recognized tonight. We started with a prayer and recognition of sacrament recipients.
Then Theresa (a member of AHG 0408 Explorers) was presented with her religious award "I Live My Faith". The "I Live My Faith" program is designed to help girls in grades 4-6 appreciate more deeply the place that God and religion occupy in their daily life.
Then Abigail was one of about a half dozen 8th grade graduates. Abigail opted to have her diploma from our school, St Albert the Great Academy, instead of the homeschool St Peter's Academy.
And last but certainly not least was Madeleine's graduation; she was the only high school graudate this evening as the other young lady was out of the country. Scott presented Madeleine with her diploma (and few words which surprised our family) mentioning both scholarships she's been awarded and her plans to attend Mississippi University for Women.
We closed the evening with a prayer, a Marian hymn, good food, friends and fellowship. The good thing about Scott keeping it short, sweet and simple is I managed to not shed tears. One down, four to go with high school graduation.
