This past week was a busy week. Madeleine and I volunteered at VBS while Theresa and John participated. Madeleine was an assistant teacher for preschool but also got bumped to lead teacher one day and special ed aide another. I worked in the kitchen co-leading the preparation of 500 snacks each day in addition to making certain that about a dozen kids with allergies were served snacks without allergens. It was a long tiring week but also lots of fun.
James finally called home yesterday after almost 3 weeks away at camp; I missed his call since I had run to pick up ingredients for strawberry shortcakes. He's having fun. Abigail spent this past week volunteering at Fantasy as a counselor for ArtSplash Camp. This year's theme was Circus of the Stars. Here is Abigail in her clown costume on the final day. Abigail had a blast and I know is hoping to be invited back again next summer.
We ended our week with a Father's day lunch at Po Boy Factory where we ate crawfish, shrimp, crabcake, gumbo, catfish, and more. I highly recommend this great restaurant. It's very casual, not a great deal of parking but absolutely scrumptious food.

Oh, yum! And the clown costume is cute.
How is your daughter's job going?
Madeleine's enjoying her job... she's worked into the wee morning hours for a store set, worked backroom tagging and worked floor.. not many hours this week but quite a few scheduled for next week
