Vacation in Pigeon Forge (part 1)

Last week (Aug 2nd) we headed to Pigeon Forge for a family vacation - the first this calendar year with all seven of us. We got into town, got groceries, unpacked and settled into our 3 bedroom condo.

On Tuesday morning we headed to the Smoky Mountain National Park - we started with a .5 mile paved trail then made the mistake of choosing a strenuous trail next. We got about halfway and then decided to turn back.

We headed back to Pigeon Forge for lunch at Tony Romas, crashed at the condo and then headed to Dollywood. They were having a special where if you bought your ticket after 3pm, you could also come back the next day. We were thrilled that they let us combine this special with our military discount. Thank you Dollywood - saved us over $100.
