Karate Summer Tournament

Theresa has been wanting a trophy for years but I was the "mean mom" and wouldn't put her in pageants. Late last summer the kids started karate and today Theresa was in her first tournament (this was John's second).
First was Katas - Theresa won 3rd place and John won 2nd place (there were 7 in their division competing).
I had to leave as soon as Theresa finished her first sparring match (which she won) so I was very excited when the kids came home with more trophies. John won 2nd place and Theresa won 1st place. Watch out boys - she's tough.

They also both got participation medals for board breaking.
