I arrived on Saturday night and crashed after eating. Then Sunday I went to Mass, had a bite to eat and off I went with the realtor. Jean took me to house after house all day Sunday at which point I had found two houses. There were some more that looked promising on paper but after searching all day on Monday, I found no more. Tuesday we saw a few more and then we went back to "the two" with a side-by-side comparison list. Both houses had plusses and minuses but one was clearly the better house - I'm glad it wasn't one of those eeny meeny miney moe situations.
The initial contract was done late on Tuesday, the counter offer didn't get back until late on Wednesday so on Thursday I signed off on that. In betweeen I looked at fridges, washers/dryers, etc. I also went on Friday to set up the transfer for the electricity, gas, water, etc for after closing in May.
In addition to all the craziness of househunting, my friend Margaret flew down from PA for a visit. We did our visiting during meals, in the car, etc. It was nice to visit without eight kids around but we'll do that sometime this summer.

Renee, I'm glad the househunting went smoothly. Thanks be to God! :) An an added bonus of visiting with a friend too.
Sounds like all went well. I still can't imagine such a move!!
