I first heard about Passport from my friend RAnn at This That and the Other Thing and mooched it from her. I definitely enjoyed the book; the story kept me wanting to read more to see what happened next. There were surprises (imo) throughout and characters made choices different than I would have expected. The ending was certainly not what I expected.
I like that Catholic doctrine was sprinkled (okay maybe poured on) throughout the story; sometimes it felt like it fit though and other times it felt like it was forced into the plot. At times the characters were unbelievable and a bit too "perfect". I don't know that I've ever met folks in real life like the characters -their conversations always seemed to revolve around being Catholic and rarely about much else.
Although it wasn't a top notch novel, I would certainly read more by this author in the future. I will be adding this book to my Book Mooch inventory.

I wish there were more modern Catholic popular-type fiction books out there.
