Magnificat
If you are Catholic and have never seen this magazine, you should. Magnificat is a monthly publication with a beautiful glossy cover that fits in your purse or pocket so you can pray anywhere anytime.
The inside front cover gives an overview of the liturgical calendar for the month. Then each day include morning prayers, the Mass (especially helpful for shutins or those that just want to be able to follow along with Mass on TV or radio), a meditation, evening prayers and the saint of the day. In the center of each issue is the order of the Mass - again useful for those watching Mass on TV.
This month's (May 2009) issue also included an editorial about Saint Paul, a short article about an Ascension hymn, an article about The Holy Family with an Angel Preparing Gruel (a painting in a museum in France) and a few other tidbits.
