The Miracle of Me
The Miracle of Me is advertised as a perfect gift for the mother-to-be but because of its simplicity, lyrical poetry and beautiful photography I would recommend it first and foremost for the siblings of an unborn baby. I think it would be ideal for parents to present to their children upon announcing the pregnancy to them.
The development of the baby is chronicled by the week including illustrations of a ruler to show the size of the baby along with photographs. This is a great book for those that may not be ready to present the facts of life to their little ones but want to share the miracle of the developing baby. In addition, there are no photos of the birthing process.

Thanks so much for sharing this title with us! The rhymes that tell the story are very cute. Abby Rose (4) especially liked the ruler on each page so she can see how big baby brother is every week. The in-utero development pictures are just enough for her. She really gets a kick out of knowing how much development happened before we even knew we were pregnant--which is a great message to young girls without having to go into further details.
So glad Abby's enjoying the book.
