Amidst the recovery from the storms, some things maintain normalcy and one of those is the US mail who brought ACT scores today.
Abigail KICKED BUTT on the English section of the ACT - 36 (perfect score) and got an excellent score in Reading - 31 (93rd percentile).... she didn't do nearly as well in Math 24 (which is 74th percentile) and Science 25 (which is 84th percentile - this is the section where she ran out of time and just started answering every question with answer 'B').... but overall as a sophomore she scored a 29 (which is in the 94th percentile). Can't complain about those scores since essentially she want in with no test prep so now we know where to focus to bring her score up for the 'real' test in her Junior year of high school
So we will be doing serious Math (mostly Algebra) review this summer because I know she can improve that Math score. She's also going to do lots of practice in the Science section so she can use her time more effectively and bump that score up significantly.

I'm impressed. My soph got a 26--her reading scores were the same as Abigails; the rest were obviously lower. Good job Abigail!
Excellent!!! Congrats to you both!
