Taste of Home Recipes Across America

Taste of Home Recipes Across America features 735 reader recipes from across our nation. The cookbook is divided into five sections: Northeast, South, Midwest, Southwest and West. Each section includes recipes for Main Dishes, Side and Sweets.  There are two indexes to aid the chef - one is an alphabetical listing by recipe names and the other provides options to find a recipe by ingredient (almonds, oats, or veal), region, or type of food (appetizer, quick breads, or stews).

Recipes Across America is going to take some time to explore because it's so much more than a cookbook since each section also features snapshots of landmarks and food festivals as well as food trivia. Did you know that the first muffuletta was created by a grocer in New Orleans? Neither did I but now I even have a recipe for this iconic sandwich.

Recipes Across America  would make a great gift for a new bride or a housewarming gift. I look forward to trying many recipes from this collection.

Thank you to Leyane Jerejian of FSB Associates for providing me with a copy of Taste of Home Recipes Across America to read and review.
