How the Camel Got His Humph by John

          In the beginning of Earth there was a Camel who was stinky. One day a Monkey came swinging. It said to the Camel, "Camel, come gather coconuts with us." But the Camel said "Humph." So the Monkey left swinging quickly. Hastily a Crane flew to the Camel and said "Come gather fish with us." But the Camel just said "Humph." So the Crane flew away. Marching an Ox came over to the Camel and said "Camel, come pull carts with us." When the Ox said that, the Camel just said "Humph." So the Ox marched away.
          After that all the Animals went to the Man and told him about the Camel. Then the Man told the three "Since the Camel is not doing work, you must do double the work." One day a Djinn came and the Animals told him about the Camel. He said "I will humph him." The Djinn went to where the Camel was eating. The Djinn said "Camel, is it true that you will not do work?" But the Camel just said "Humph." Then the Djinn said "I would not say that again if I were you." But the Camel ignored him and said "Humph." Then a big humph appeared on the Camel's back. Then the Djinn said "Now you have your own humph. You can work for three days because you can live off of your humph." The Camel never regained the three days of work which he lost by being lazy.
